He is currently also an economics professor and former Department Chair of Economics at UCSB. He serves as Associate Director of the UCSB Lab for Aggregate Economics & Finance. Prior to coming to UCSB\, Dr. Rupert served as senior economic advisor to the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. He has had appointments at University of Western Ontario\, University of New York at Buffalo\, West Virginia University\, University of Southern California and University of London. He obtained his BS at Santa Clara University and earned his MA and PhD at the University of Rochester.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
