The EconAlliance inaugural Northern Santa Barbara County Impact Award of 2023 honored the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians (Chumash). Established to recognize organizations or individuals providing extraordinary support for North County, the Impact Award will be awarded at the EconAlliance annual dinner. Sam Cohen (pictured, right), Chumash Legal and Government Specialist, received the 2023 award on behalf of the Chumash.

EconAlliance 2023 Annual Dinner awards also included Industry Innovation awardee Melfred Borzall, a Northern Santa Barbara County manufacturing company with forty years of horizontal directional drilling innovation. PCPA and Solvang Theaterfest jointly received the 2023 EconAlliance Nonprofit Innovation Award for their decades of performance, staging and cultural innovations benefiting North County residents.

The EconAlliance 2023 Annual Dinner was attended by nearly 200 North County stakeholders, and featured as keynote presenter Nate Jantzen (pictured right), Vandenberg Launch Director for SpaceX.
