Healthcare Forum – An Intelligent Approach
AI in Healthcare
EconAlliance’s mid-July Healthcare Workforce Forum focused on workforce development in the emerging AI operating environment. Nearly 100 attendees heard featured presentations on “AI in Healthcare” by two experts, with a panel of local healthcare educators discussing the new AI environment and its workforce impacts.

A second keynote - AI for Medicine: Progress, Promises and Limitations – was presented by Michael Pazzani, PhD, Distinguished Principal Scientist, Information Sciences Institute and Dir, AI Research for USC Health Center (pictured, left).
The Forum’s panel topic, Building the Healthcare Workforce of the Future – A Regional Perspective was moderated by Mark Allen, COO, Dignity Health
This session included as panelists Ted Wendel, President, Arizona and California Campuses; A.T. Still University; Thomas Lamica, Dean, Academic Affairs, Allan Hancock College; and Elaine Webber, Principal, Lompoc Adult School & Career Center.
