Welcome Nash Moreno and Thank You John Fowler!

Charting a Bright Future: EconAlliance Announces New CEO Ignacio "Nash" Moreno

EconAlliance is thrilled to announce a significant milestone in our organizational journey.

Effective June 1st, Ignacio “Nash” Moreno will officially step into the role of permanent Chief Executive Officer.

This seamless transition comes as Interim CEO John Fowler completes his vital mandate: placing EconAlliance on solid organizational and financial footing to pave the way for long-term, permanent leadership. Following review of many candidates for the role, Nash Moreno became the frontrunner, and John presented Nash’s credentials and final contract to the EconAlliance Board of Directors. After review, the board enthusiastically approved Nash’s appointment to lead the organization forward.

Introducing Nash Moreno: Leadership, Vision, and Community Roots

Nash joins EconAlliance with a robust background in executive leadership, cross-industry project management, and a proven track record of advocacy across both the private and nonprofit sectors. Locally based in Santa Maria, Nash brings an exceptional blend of technical expertise and regional passion to the position.

Key highlights from Nash’s distinguished career include:

  • Aerospace & Defense Program Leadership: As a Project Manager at RedWire Defense Tech in San Luis Obispo, Nash has led complex aerospace and defense programs involving advanced unmanned aircraft systems (UAS/UAV) supporting domestic and international customers.
  • Aviation & Infrastructure Management: Nash was elected to the Santa Maria Public Airport Board and recently served as President of the Santa Maria Public Airport District.
  • Deeply Engaged Community Advocate: A graduate of the Leadership Santa Maria Valley Class of 2025, Nash has a demonstrated passion for community building and managing diverse stakeholders. He has frequently represented regional interests at prominent events like the State of Vandenberg, SMVC, and the Central Coast Airfest.

Steadfast Roots, Forward Focus: Navigating Together

The EconAlliance Board and its President Laurie Tamura are highly enthusiastic about what the future holds under Nash’s stewardship.

  • Of all the candidates interviewed, it was clear that Nash would bring sharp focus paired with a forward-thinking vision to take EconAlliance to the next level.
  • As a deeply rooted member of our community who is actively engaged in local volunteer leadership, he is uniquely positioned to foster meaningful new collaborations and partnerships.
  • We are incredibly fortunate to welcome him to our dream team and fully engaged board, to sustain the upward trajectory of the EconAlliance mission for Northern Santa Barbara County

Please join the Board of Directors, John Fowler, and the entire EconAlliance team in giving Nash a warm welcome as we embark on this exciting new chapter of regional vitality and growth!

Welcome Nash Moreno and Thank You John Fowler!
John Fowler
I am grateful to the team for making my work here the best it could be. I could not have done any of this without the 'dream team'—Crystal, Teresa, Terri Lee, Alejandra, Lydia, Laurie, and Vicki. I have worked all over the country with many companies much larger than EconAlliance, but I can definitely say that the remarkable success we achieved in just three months is due to the work accomplished by this 'Dream Team' and the leadership of our board.
